Employment opportunities for the Armed Forces community

This page highlights employment training opportunities for RAF spouses and partners, and personnel who are leaving the RAF. In this section we share job, training and networking opportunities specifically for the Armed Forces community – and, a lot of the training and support is free of charge, often funded by the Armed Forces covenant.

Forces Families Jobs

Forces Families Jobs (FFJ) is a tri-service ‘one-stop-shop’ for job vacancies, volunteering and training opportunities. It’s free to use and is full of forces friendly employers who have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and have job vacancies to fill. As covenant signatories they all understand the unique challenges that come with being a family member of a serviceman or woman.

Military Coworking Network (MCN)

The MCN is a professional network for the spouses and partners of serving personnel and veterans. Its aim is to enable members to create and maintain professional lives alongside military life through an online community and network of coworking hubs, located at military bases across the UK and abroad.

The role of the Armed Forces Covenant

The Covenant is about getting a fair deal and removing ‘disadvantage’ from those who serve in the armed forces and their families. It is a written and publicised voluntary pledge from businesses and charitable organisations who wish to demonstrate their concrete support for the armed forces community.
