The results of the Single RAF Personnel Service Evaluation were presented in an online RAF Community Forum hosted by the RAF Families Federation.
During the forum, representatives from the RAF Families Federation shared the findings identified in the Single RAF Personnel Service Evaluation Interim Report, which reflect the perspectives of 572 RAF personnel across all ranks. Air Cdre Todd and Sqn Ldr Robins from the RAF People and Families Team provided updates on ongoing projects addressing the challenges identified in the report and assured attendees that the Interim Report and individual experiences shared will be carefully reviewed and considered.

The Interim Report outlines significant quantitative findings from the RAF Families Federation’s Single RAF Personnel Service Evaluation conducted in late 2024. The key themes identified include:

- A perception among many personnel of being treated as second-class citizens.
- A notable lack of representation and a sense of having no voice.
- Insufficient resources and facilities for single personnel, especially when serving overseas or living off-base.
- Discrepancies in allowance entitlements that do not fully cover service-related costs.
- Various accommodation issues affecting personnel.

Further analytical work is planned to delve into the qualitative responses from the Service Evaluation, with additional analysis being conducted in collaboration with Northumbria University.
