Wings to the Past and Bishop Grosseteste University are offering two bursaries for RAF personnel and their families to attend their university summer archaeological field school for a two week period across June and July 2023 – worth up to £5000.
Who can apply for the Wings to the Past Bursary?
The opportunity is open to any RAF personnel and their families. Each two week period has a place for an individual or a family (with up to four members).
- Bursary 1: 12th June – 23rd June 2023
- Bursary 2: 26th June – 23rd July 2023
Is it completely free?
The bursary covers all the field school costs. Personnel will just need to provide food and drink, suitable clothing, transport to and from the site and accommodation (if needed) – the site will be near the city of Lincoln, the exact location will be revealed at a later date.
How do I apply?
The RAF Service person must complete the application form, unless deployed, before 1st May 2023 to be in with a chance of a bursary. Make sure to read the FAQs before submitting the application.
