8 different stories from people detailing their own journeys and how they have tackled personal mental health issues
Time to Change
Statistically 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year. But, many people still don’t consider Mental Health relevant to them. Time to Change is a growing social movement working to change the way we all think and act about mental health problems.
The Power of Small
Time to Talk day is 4th Feb 2021, the day that we get everyone talking about Mental Health. A small conversation about Mental Health has the power to make a big difference.
We know that the more conversations we have, the more myths we can bust and barriers we can break down, helping to end the isolation, shame and worthlessness that too many of us with Mental Health problems are made to feel.
Time to Talk Day is The RAF Time to Change Network’s event which will help spread this message through a number of online skype sessions on 4th Feb, where members of the RAF whole force will each tell their own story of Mental Health.
By telling their stories of their own lived experience, this small group of people will show how Mental Health affects us all, and does not discriminate based on age, rank, experience, or time served. Whether you have experienced something similar, or want to understand more to support others, all can benefit. So, please join us and listen in to one or several stories, and feel free to use this to have your own small conversation.
