Norfolk County Council has developed a resource for schools and parents, helping them develop their understanding of the Armed Forces Covenant, the Armed Force Community and the Service Pupil Premium.
The booklet was developed in partnership with a group of experienced local schools and the three families federations; the Army Families Federation, the RAF Families Federation and the Naval Families Federation.
Lisa Thipthorp, Policy Manager at the RAF Families Federation comments:
“Norfolk has over 1500 Service children of school age so we were pleased to work closely with the Norfolk Armed Forces Covenant Board in developing this resource to help both parents and schools to ensure our service children are getting the very best support they need and deserve.
This is also another demonstration of how Norfolk CC are fulfilling their commitments towards the Armed Forces Covenant and demonstrating that Norfolk is a forces friendly place to live and work and educate your children.”
