Calling all serving personnel, veterans and military families. Little Troopers, the military children’s charity has launched it’s 2020 Snowdon Challenge and is appealing for people to sign-up and raise money on Saturday 9th May.
This will be the fifth time that Little Troopers has completed the bi-annual Snowdon climb and this year the charity is hoping to raise more than £10,000. All funds raised will go towards initiatives and resources that directly support children who have a parent serving in the British Armed Forces.
Louise Fetigan, Founder of Little Troopers, explains:
“This year we have lots of exciting plans to support military children but we need your support to make it happen. Whether you are connected to the military or not, everyone is welcome on our Snowdon Challenge. From individuals who have never climbed a mountain before, to big groups of serving personnel who might choose to make it harder by climbing up with their bergens! Let’s all come together for a great weekend that is all about celebrating and supporting service children. You’ll get to meet new people, take on a challenge and help us to hit our fundraising target so we can make a difference in military communities across all three services.”
The event has been organised over the bank holiday weekend to make it easier for people to attend. All participants will meet at a central location and trek the Llanbreis path together on Saturday 9th May.
Funds raised will support Little Troopers’ initiatives and resources including the Little Troopers Treasures App, the charity’s ‘at home’ resources for families and a 2020 school wellbeing roadshow. To sign-up, visit littletroopers.net or email [email protected]
