Share your experience of Service family life overseas, by completing this survey, to help shape the policies that affect you and your family.
It is understood that each family’s experience will be unique to them and their circumstances. In order for better support to be provided to Service families, it is important to have your say. A survey has been developed to capture your views on:
- Spousal / partner employment
- Childcare
- Communications
- Education
- Accommodation

Armed Forces Families and Safeguarding (AFFS) want to hear from as many Serving personnel and their partners as possible, the survey will be shared widely to encourage this and is open until 4 August 2023.
Note: The survey is anonymous and will take around 30 minutes to complete.
Who are AFFS?
AFFS are responsible for six of the eight workstreams within the Armed Forces Families Strategy. Your feedback will be analysed by AFFS and the Defence Analysis, Surveys and Research team and used by AFFS to review current policy and support the development of future families policy.
